
Regional Peer Networks on Transport and Climate : first year’s review
In early 2021, GIZ in collaboration with move2change, initiated Regional Peer Networks for Transport and Climate to foster exchange of experiences among government representatives within Africa, Asia, and Latin America. After one year, we look back on a total of 22 exchange sessions.
The key insights and the key learnings from this new forum to support and facilitate progress in transport and climate, are summarized in this article.
To provide peers with background information on the six thematic areas - climate targets for the transport sector, electrification of transport, national urban mobility policies, freight, infrastructure, and adaptation of transport systems - the project partners drafted briefing papers on each topic and for Africa and Asia.
